Prophet Muhammad
The First Sufi of Islam
The biographical account of Prophet Muhammad’s life in this book is in conformity with the historical data gathered from several sources written and re-written since centuries. Prophet Muhammad’s comments and injunctions are chosen from several volumes of Hadith, considered authentic. The Quranic verses in italics delineate the Message of Islam without distortion or misinterpretation. History itself speaks for the Prophet since the time of his birth till his death. The Message of his Prophetic Vision delineates the agony and ecstasy of his passion, which made him not only as the Messenger of God, but the Lover of the Beloved. His absolute trust in God, Allah or Beloved led him on the path to Love, Unity and Equality for All, while he held on to the fabric of diversity as his mantle of Universal Whole. Humble, truthful and peace-loving, his noblest aim in life remained to cultivate these virtues even amidst the hurricanes of wars and persecutions. Persecuted by the Meccans, when wars could not be avoided, he fought only in self-defense, or when all other means of peace failed. Insulted and injured by many, he did not court despair when defeated, and when victorious, forgave even the bitterest of his enemies. This is how Prophet Muhammad lived, loving peace, and proclaiming Allah as the most Kind, most Merciful, most Beneficent God. Islam, according to Prophet Muhammad, is not a new religion, but a continuation in the line of Judaism and Christianity. And Allah is not only the God of the Muslims, but the God of Creation since the inception of Time. Not a man of sword; glinting only the pennants of love, justice, equality, his purity of heart can be gleaned from his own words. Islam, the religion of peace and reconciliation, as taught and practiced by the Prophet, comes alive in this book of 742 pages, in the likeness of a well-preserved Pearl from the Heart of Quran and Prophet. Nineteen chapters in all, free from the rust of lies and distortions, are a fresh challenge to the Reader, to discover lies about truth, if not ‘truth’ blackened by lies.
